Paint protection film, ceramic coating and tint in Middletown, NJ

Protection for Middletown cars
Middletown is a big township, and its cars see every kind of road. Some live in Lincroft and Navesink and rarely leave Route 35 and Newman Springs Road. Others start every weekday on the Parkway or sit all day in the lot at Middletown station. Buff & Beyond protects all of them with paint protection film, ceramic coating and window tint, and our Ocean Township shop is about 20 minutes away outside rush hour.
Paint protection film
A car that commutes north on the Parkway collects stone chips on the hood and bumper faster than anywhere else. LLumar self-healing film takes those hits for the paint, and light swirls in the film fade with warmth. Closer to the water in Belford, Leonardo and Port Monmouth, salt air and winter road salt add to the wear.
Film is sold by coverage. Basic Front covers the front bumper, full hood, mirrors, headlights and fog lights, and is usually done within a day. Full Front adds the full front fenders, so no film edge cuts across them, and takes one to two days. Full Front Plus adds the A-pillars, the roof edge over the windshield and the rocker panels, also one to two days. Full Body covers every painted panel over two to three days.
For a Parkway commuter, Full Front or Full Front Plus covers the panels that get hit. Film also suits new and leased cars, because a clean front end at turn in is easier with film on it, and film comes off factory paint cleanly when the lease ends. The film carries a manufacturer backed warranty.
Ceramic coating
Most Middletown cars are daily drivers parked outside, under Lincroft trees or in a station lot, and washed every week or two. Those are the cars a coating helps most. Pollen, sap and road film have less to grip, bird droppings sit on the coating instead of etching the clear coat, and winter salt rinses off instead of sitting on the paint. Less scrubbing also means fewer swirls over time.
A coating seals in whatever is under it, so every coating starts with a wash, decontamination and an inspection under strong light. Swirls and light scratches are polished out before the Gyeon coating goes on in a climate-controlled bay. That is why we sell paint correction together with a Level 1 or Level 2 coating, and why we show you what the paint needs before we start.
Window tint
A lot of Middletown driving runs north and south on the Parkway and Route 35, which puts the morning sun on one side of the car and the evening sun on the other. Ceramic tint cuts the heat and glare coming through the glass, keeps a station lot car cooler by the end of the day, and slows fading on seats and trim. Family SUVs often get a darker rear for privacy and kids in car seats, with a lighter shade up front.
We install LLumar ceramic film in 70, 50, 35, 20 and 5 percent shades. The number is how much light gets through, so 70 is nearly clear and 5 is very dark. Ceramic film has no metal in it, so phones, navigation and key fobs work normally, and it stays clear from the inside at night.
Doing it together
Many owners do all three at once: film on the panels that take chips, a Gyeon coating over the whole car including the film, and tint on the glass. Together that is The Beyond Package, and it means one visit and one drop off instead of three.

Questions from Middletown drivers
Which should I do first if I can only do one?
For a new car that will see the Parkway every day, film on the front. For a car that is already a few years old and looks tired, correction and a coating. For comfort on the commute, tint. We can talk it through once we see the car.
Can a coating handle a Monmouth County winter?
It makes salt and grime much easier to rinse off, which is the best thing you can do for paint in winter. Rinse regularly through the season and it stays working.
Tell us what you drive on the estimate form and we will recommend a starting point.
